The standard I hold every project to — the details I run through before I call something done. Tick them off as you read; your progress is saved on this device.

Navigation

Clicking the logo returns to the homepage.
No "scroll to top" button — if a page needs one, the page is too long.
The active menu item is visually highlighted.
The browser Back button works correctly — never broken by modals or SPA routing.
A 404 leads somewhere useful, not into a dead end.

State & sessions

A logged-in user is never logged out automatically.
A filled-in form survives a reload and the Back button.
Scroll position and filters are restored when you come back.
No duplicate submit on refresh — Post/Redirect/Get.

Forms & errors

Every field has a visible label, not just a placeholder.
Validation fires at the right moment, not on every keystroke.
An error message says what went wrong and what to do about it.
The submit button is disabled while the request is in flight — no double submit.
Irreversible actions have a confirmation or an undo.

Contact

No mailto: links — email is friction. Every contact point opens a form right there, in one click.

Accessibility

Colour is never the only carrier of meaning.
Text contrast meets the threshold (≥ 4.5:1).
